Strengthened civil society advocacy and watchdog role

Advocacy and public affairs monitoring are important for the democratic governance of society and for addressing issues that reduce citizen’s trust in a functioning state, self-government, and public services. Civil organizations complement the work of independent media and offer a critical reflection on how to manage things.

Thematic focus:

Promoting good governance and increasing transparency.

The ACF will support the active involvement of civil society organizations in the formulation of public policies at national, regional and local level – we expect the CSOs to prepare and submit proposals for the amendment of 20 policies, legal standards and public decisions aimed at, for example, legal instruments for more effective public participation in decision- justice, environmental protection, inclusion of vulnerable groups, and so on.

By supporting at least 5 CSO campaigns aimed at good governance and transparency, the program will contribute to improvements in this particularly sensitive area. ACF also encourages organizations to use an evidence based approach to help mitigate one of the weaknesses in their activities.
